Central Compounding Center is happy to announce our Sublingual Semaglutide Suspension, featuring an innovative formulation that uses the cutting-edge Submagna HMW™ suspension base. This specialized anhydrous (“without water”) base is tailored for high molecular weight drugs (large molecules). It leverages self-emulsifying and permeation-enhancing properties to maximize drug delivery.
Upon administration, the Submagna HMW™ base forms an emulsion with saliva, improving the solubility and dispersion of Semaglutide. It also has mucoadhesive properties to ensure prolonged contact with the mucosal tissues in the mouth, thus enhancing absorption. By using the sublingual route, this formulation allows the medication to directly enter the bloodstream, bypassing the gut.
